LONDON, 15 October 2026 – Ghana strengthened its case as a competitive investment destination at Ghana Investor Day, bringing together investors, financiers, development partners, businesses and policymakers to explore investment-ready opportunities across high-growth sectors of the economy.
Held as part of the wider UK Investment Roadshow 2026, the event built on engagements at the Ghana Country Investment Summit at AFSIC 2026 and focused on connecting investors with bankable projects capable of driving Ghana’s industrialisation and export-led growth agenda.
Opening the event, H.E. Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Republic of Ireland, Mrs Sabah Zita Benson, urged investors to look beyond perceptions of risk and focus on the opportunities emerging across Ghana’s economy.
“Africa’s investment story is too often told through the lens of risk, yet our markets are growing and returns from well-structured projects compare favourably with anywhere in the world,” she said. “Ghana’s invitation is direct: come and invest with us, build your factories in Ghana and serve the continent from Accra, the home of AfCFTA.”
The High Commissioner highlighted Ghana’s industrialisation agenda under President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda, including the 24-Hour Economy programme, strategic manufacturing policies, value addition in natural resources, agribusiness development and infrastructure expansion.
Representing the UK Government, Ms Claire Innes, Head of Emerging Markets at the FCDO, reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s economic transformation through the UK-Ghana Growth Partnership.
“Today’s event helps bridge the gap between ambition and investment by showcasing credible opportunities where capital can generate commercial returns and economic development,” she said.
A key highlight of the day was the presentation by Mr. Augustus “Goosie” Tanoh, Presidential Adviser on the 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme, who unveiled the 24H+ Deal Book comprising eight investment-ready projects seeking approximately US$3.6 billion in capital, drawn from a broader pipeline of 32 projects at different stages of development.
The projects span priority sectors including agribusiness, manufacturing, industrial parks and renewable energy, and have undergone extensive project preparation, feasibility assessments and financial structuring to improve bankability and attract private investment.
“Investors are looking for bankability, profitability and returns. That is why we have placed such emphasis on rigorous project preparation, financial structuring and private sector partnerships,” said Mr Tanoh.
Acknowledging the role of development partners, he added:
We acknowledge the support of the UK Government, through the British High Commission, for supporting the 24-Hour Economy’s journey by financing pre-feasibility studies, facilitating our participation in roadshows and investment summits, and connecting us with investors and commercial partners. We also appreciate the support of the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce for providing platforms such as this to showcase Ghana’s investment opportunities.”
The event also featured an overview of Ghana’s investment landscape from the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA), highlighting opportunities across agriculture, manufacturing, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, digital services and industrial infrastructure, alongside recent reforms designed to improve the investment climate and strengthen investor protections.
Throughout the day, investors engaged directly with project sponsors and government agencies, reinforcing a shared objective of moving from confidence to capital by translating investor interest into commercially viable partnerships and investments.
Ghana Investor Day demonstrated the growing momentum behind the UK-Ghana Growth Partnership, providing a platform to connect investment-ready opportunities with international capital while strengthening commercial ties between Ghana and the United Kingdom. The discussions also helped build anticipation for the forthcoming Invest Ghana Summit 2026, organised by GIPA in November, where a broader pipeline of investment opportunities from across the country will be presented to domestic and international investors.
Ghana Investor Day formed part of the UK Investment Roadshow 2026, a UK Government-supported initiative delivered by the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce and the UK-Ghana Jobs and Economic Transformation (JET) Programme to advance trade and investment between the United Kingdom and Ghana.
